My name is Thompson Hall from ActionSpace.  I was also on the Steering Committee of the first Creative Minds Conference in Brighton in March 2014. Creative Minds is led by learning disabled artists and performers.  We aim to get people talking about learning disabled artists and performers.  We have a Legacy Group which meets every three months.  We discuss issues that affect ourselves as artists and those that are supporting us.

I am a visual artist who is interested in architecture. This is reflected in the series of paintings that I did for the Creative Minds conference in Brighton last year.  The paintings are about places seen around Brighton, from a visitor’s perspective. They were exhibited at the Brighton Dome over March 2014.

I also did an exhibition called Postcards from Glasgow. For the International Summit for Learning Disabled Artist and their Studios in Glasgow that was organised by Project Ability. This was shown at Trongate 103 over March 2015.

I want to write this blog to explain a bit more about the kind of work I do with Creative Minds and give a general idea of my practice as an artist.  I will also be doing reviews of the exhibitions that I go to because this is something that influences my work.
