Every other month the Royal Academy of Arts runs Friday Afternoon Art Club for adults with learning disabilities, in association with ActionSpace.
This is a fantastic opportunity to see a guided view of the hottest exhibitions at the Royal Academy, and then take part in an art workshop inspired by what you have seen. Sessions will be co-led by an ActionSpace artist – most recently Thompson Hall co-led a session on Abstract Expressionism.
There is space for 12 participants and places need to be booked in advance on a first come first serve basis.
The next events are:
Friday 16 December 2016: Intrigue: James Ensor by Luc Tymans
Friday 17 February 2017: Revolution: Russian Art 1917 – 19832
Friday 7 April 2016: America after the Fall: Painting in the 1930’s
Friday 16 June 2016: Summer Exhibition
Friday 11 August: Matisse at Work
There are very limited places, so if you would like to join the next club, or find out about future events, please email Siobhan or call 020 7209 4289.
