Fabrica’s Hear Me See Me and Oska Bright Film Festival present Sons and Mothers by Christopher Houghton and Louise Pascale.
With introduction by Daniel Wakeford and his mum, Carol Wakeford.
An all-male theatre troupe set out to create a theatrical love letter to their mothers. As they offer their hearts for the sake of a theatre show complications set in. Not everyone makes it to opening night as we discover unconditional love is a choice. Sons & Mothers is a poignant and intimate portrait of seven surprising individuals whose disability does not stop them from revealing themselves with honesty, grace, and a healthy dose of irreverence.
“This film will leave you rethinking what it means to be disabled, a parent, a son and wanting to know where and when you can see the amazing stage show documented in this fantastic film.”
– Quentin Kenihan, 891 ABC Radio Adelaide
